Ron is a Director of Bison Wealth, LLC and has more than 30 years of financial services and investment advisory experience. He devotes his time at Bison as a financial advisor helping clients navigate the financial markets through holistic financial planning and disciplined investment management incorporating both active and passive strategies and methodologies.

Ron earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and began his career in finance with Smith Barney, Harris Upham, Inc., in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1983. For the majority of his career (from 1983 – 2014) Ron worked for two firms – Smith Barney and UBS Financial Services before joining Lakeview Capital Partners in 2014.

During his time at these firms he served in a range of capacities including Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Branch/Complex Management, Director of Trainee Development for the Smith Barney Atlanta Complex, and Senior Executive Coaching for UBS.

He was a member of the firms’ President’s Councils and served as a board member of the UBS Financial Advisor Advisory Council. He has been named one of the industry’s 100 most influential figures in banking and finance by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Ron serves his community in a variety of ways. He is a past president of the Pace Academy Booster Club, a former Little League baseball coach, and he works extensively as a volunteer serving the homeless and the sick.

Ron enjoys spending free time with family and friends – especially his wife and their two adult sons and their families. He is an avid reader and enjoys cooking and fitness. One of his favorite hobbies is writing.

In 2011 he realized a life long goal with the publication of his first novel, “The Opening,” which was selected as a Dan Poynter Global eBook Award Finalist for Inspirational and Visionary Fiction. The novel has been listed in seven Amazon Top 100 bestseller lists.

Ron publishes a monthly newsletter for his clients and professional network focused on current market trends and other related topics.
