Safeguarding assets is paramount. Bison partners with the leading financial custodians to hold client assets for safekeeping and to minimize the risk of theft or loss. These custodians offer state-of-the-art cybersecurity, identification requirements, and innovative technology, along with the strength and stability to maintain the security of client assets. Bison’s partnership with these leading institutions provides clients with the flexibility needed to properly execute investment decisions with the peace of mind to know assets are secured.
Bison’s investment committee is continuously monitoring the ever-changing economic, geopolitical, and investment environment to assess opportunities for investment as well as potential risks. Once identified, the research team seeks to identify or create investment strategies to best capture opportunity or defend against identified risks. Portfolios are constructed with the intent of being prepared for a variety of potential environments rather than trying to predict what will happen in the future.
Risk management is central to each phase of the investment process with the team constantly challenging their market assumptions, the validity of security selection, and proper mix of strategies with the objective of striving towards a defined investment objective rather than trying to “beat the market”.
